Professional Background
Yolanda Sanchez is the founder of Smart Start Education LLC and an experienced educational professional with over 10 years of classroom and school-based experience. She holds a Master’s degree in Special Education from St. John’s University (Jamaica, NY) and a Master’s degree in School Administration from Mercy University (Dobbs Ferry, NY). She also earned her Learning Disabilities Teacher-Consultant (LDTC) certification through William Paterson University and is currently completing her Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in School Psychology at the University of Alabama. Ms. Sanchez has extensive experience working within Child Study Team (CST) processes and conducting comprehensive evaluations to support eligibility, program development, and compliance with New Jersey special education regulations. Her work is grounded in providing clear, timely, and culturally responsive evaluations, including bilingual assessment services.
